There are currently 8 statues by local Bristol, R.I. artist Paulette H. Carr. At left is Peplum. From the Map flyer, "Draped and elegant, Peplum is made of burlap, steel, resin and wood. The word Peplum originates in the ancient Greek word peplos or tunic, whose style has evolved to draping or pleating at the waist. Here the draping is dramatic and rich in texture."
